A couple of weeks after Google released the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat, the company has finally started rolling out the KitKat update for the Nexus 7 (2012/2013) and the Nexus 10. The update will start rolling out from later tonight, and will only be available for the Wi-Fi only variants of the tablet.

The Nexus 4 and the 3G variant of the Nexus 7 won’t be getting the update today, but Google promises that it is coming soon. Hopefully, Google will upload the factory images for the update for the devices today as well.
The Android 4.4 KitKat update for the tablets will bring with it a new immersive mode, lower RAM consumption, improved touch feedback and more. However, these devices won’t be getting the Google Experience launcher as seen on the Nexus 5 that provides quick and easy access to Google Now, and translucent navigation and status bar.
