Earlier this year, Qualcomm announced that is jumping into the wearable market with a new smartwatch that’ll work with Android phones. A follow-up announcement today confirmed the Toq will hot retail shelves early next month.

Much like the Galaxy Gear from Samsung, the Toq smartwatch will deliver smartphone notifications to your wrist. Owners will be able to accept/reject calls, view text messages, receive meeting alerts and more. The watch features a Qulacomm Mirasol display, an low-energy, always-on display that is readable even in bright sunlight. Under the hood, the Toq sports Bluetooth 4.0 with support for stereo audio and WiPower LE wireless charging. It’ll also interact with select AllJoyn-enabled devices.

The Toq will debut with a companion Android app that’ll be available in the Google Play Store for free. Like the Pebble smartwatch, the app will be conduit between the watch and the phone. If you are interested in the Toq, but notice an important feature is missing, don’t give up on the wearable as additional features will be added to the watch via feature software updates.

The Toq  will go on sale starting December 2nd. It will retail for $349 when it launches.
