Samsung today announced that the Galaxy Note Edge will be available from November 14th on all the major carriers in the United States.
The device will be available in Charcoal Black and Forst White on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S Cellular and Verizon networks. AT&T is the only carrier that has announced the pricing of the phablet: a whopping $399 on a two-year contract or a jaw dropping $945.99 if you want to skip the contract and want to purchase the Edge outright. This makes the Galaxy Note Edge considerably pricier than the Galaxy Note 4, which retails for $249.99 on a two-year contract on all the major carriers, as well as other Android devices.
Even though Samsung’s press release says 14th November, AT&T will start selling the device from November 7th. Other carriers are yet to reveal their pricing and release date for the Galaxy Note Edge.
The Korean giant had unveiled the Galaxy Note Edge at IFA in September this year alongside the Galaxy Note 4. The Note Edge sports a unique 5.6-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display that “wraps around the right edge of the device.” The screen on the right edge can act separately of the primary screen and can also be used by third-party apps. It also comes with a scrollable Edge menu that provides quick access to your favorite apps.
Other notable specs of the Galaxy Note Edge include a 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, a 16MP camera with OIS, microSD card slot, 3.7MP front-camera and S-Pen.
