Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2016) earlier this year and now, it has launched its bigger brother, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016). Equipped with a bigger, 10.1 inch screen (1200 x 1920) as opposed to a 7.0 inch (800 x 1280), it runs Android Marshmallow out of the box and is powered by an octa-core processor (probably an Exynos 7870 clocked at 1.6GHz).

The additional screen size does come with a larger battery of 7300mAh as opposed to the 4000mAh for the Tab A 7.0 (2016). However this does bump up the weight from 277g to 525g for the larger Tab 10.1 (2016).

The tablet also features an 8MP rear camera with image stabilisation, a 2MP front shooter, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM that is expandable. Apart from the front camera, all the other features mentioned of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 are beefed up as opposed to the smaller version.

Currently, the tablet has only been announced in Germany, where it would be available starting this June. It has been showcased in two colour variants – Black and White, so if you were looking for a Gold or Rose Gold tablet, this might not be for you. The Wi-Fi only version will retail for €289 (USD 329), while the LTE variant will set you back €349 (USD 399).
