Its ‘Update Wednesday’ and Google has rolled out updates for quite a few of its Android apps including Google Chrome, Docs, Sheets and Slides.

The latest update to Chrome bumps its version number to 40 and brings with it an updated page info and content settings UI, performance improvements, bug fixes, an updated bookmarks manager that needs to be manually activated and a larger address bar for Lollipop running devices.

The updates for Docs, Sheets and Slides are more feature rich and brings some much requested features to the apps. This includes a real-time spell checker and the ability to hide rows and columns in spreadsheets. You will also be able to group shapes in presentations using the Google Slides app.

Lastly, to make the app easier to use for users with poor vision or who are blind, Google has also added support for TalkBack on Android and VoiceOver on iOS. This will allow them to create, edit and share files in Docs, Slides and Sheets.

As always, Google is rolling out these updates gradually so they will show up on your Android device(s) over the next few days.
