Google has started rolling out a new update for Google Keyboard that bumps the version number to 3.2 and brings with it support for 8 new Indian languages. 

For non-Indian users, the update does not really include any new goodies except for a re-organized Settings menu. The list of 8 new local Indian languages that are now supported by Google Keyboard include:

• Hindi (Compact)
• Bengali (India)
• Malayalam (India)
• Marathi (India)
• Tamil (India)
• Tamil (Singapore)
• Telugu (India)
• Kannada (India)

For some reason though, the Google Keyboard app itself is still hidden from Android users in India on the Play Store. Nevertheless, Android users in India can head over to this link on their PC or from their Android device to install the keyboard.

Since this is a phased roll-out from Google, the update might not show up immediately for you, but you can always sideload the APK if you wish to.
