Hello pls assist, my default home screen icons disappeared, i.e. call, phonebook icons, ive checked on the manage app and they are there, but no option of enable/disable… pls someone assist to retrieve them…im using the Huawei ascend p6

I’ve got a Huawei P6 for over 3 months now and am very happy with it. Probably had to reboot it 3 times (compared to the complaints I hear from Samsung users I’m much better off). Yes the back does get hot, but only if your phone is continuously doing heavy processing for 30min + (generally when my girlfriend is playing games on it). Never gets hot with browsing etc. for extended periods. Overall I’m happy with my phone and wouldn’t change it for anything else. Battery life is good (especially by smartphone standards). Charge it once a day and it’s hardly ever fully or close to being dead by the end of the day.

People are too brand conscience. And from the reviews I’ve read on this phone, it looks like many reviewers are too.

how seriously are the bugs and issues on this phone? I read some about bugs, falling out en the heath problem that should force you to shut down your phone, is this the case? I want a new smartphone but i don’t want to be irritated by crashes and the heath issue in in a week already

hi … i have a huawei ascend p6 . my music player plays songs only from a specified folder in my phone`s internal storage. i have a 32 gb ext sd card too. but i could not get the music player add the songs in any other folder. please advise. is this the phone`s fault?

The centralised permissions manager looks like a good approach. However this phone lacks key features I still consider a “must have”. Thanks for the details.
Why this silly obsession with thin Huawei? Any fixed batter under 3Ah hits my [Auto Reject] button, regardless of price.

Great review as always. Just saved a few quid by not buying a p6. I do believe Huawei have some real potential though. One to watch.

Very good review Steve. Interesting phone. Huawei seem to be doing a good job in disrupting the lower end of the Android phone market. And now they look to be doing the same in the mid tier.

I do wonder why they had to to resort to dumping all the excess heat in the way they did. Surely solving the problem in the design phase would of allowed better, easier, designs in the future. I am on the look out for a “big” phablet and did not want to resort to getting a Samsung and as such had hoped that this device might do it. But that would be a no I see now. Well the hunt continues then.
