The G2 is easily a competitor for every other high-end smartphone out there. The “weird” button layout works for us, and it’s paired with some smart touch functions that are well thought out. The phone looks and feels great, and just works as a smartphone should.

“battery life is pretty good.” ha. not a good review. battery life is AWESOME on this phone. makes the S4 seem like a joke.

nice review steve. I find the edge to edge screen on the G2 pretty impressive, more than the S4. but overall I would agree with your verdict.

In reply to follow @muvee360. I'd say the G2's display is better in terms of colours and angles. It's by far the star of the show here. Shame some of the other aspects of the G2 aren't *quite* up to the same level.
