Security for our devices has become a major focal point for many users, especially considering how important the devices are, and the information we have on them. So when something happens, like we forget it or it’s stolen, making sure that information is safe after the fact is a top priority. Thankfully, Android Device Manager is here to help us all out.

Android Device Manager is set to receive an update to its online web presence, as well as the Android app. With the update, you’ll receive better options for when you have to lock your device. Now, you can actually add a message to display on the phone’s screen, and include a phone number for whoever finds/has your phone to call with information on how to get it back.

What’s better, is that the owner’s number isn’t actually displayed, but instead there’s simply a “call owner” button to touch that will initiate the call.
