According to Phone Scoop, who quotes a Samsung press release that has yet to be published, but instead has landed in his inbox, Samsung’s Galaxy S4 will land on seven operators in the USA by the end of April. Those operators include the four big ones (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile), along with three of the smaller players (Cricket, C Spire, and US Cellular).
How much will it cost on each respective operator? You’ll have to go to their websites to figure it out. AT&T’s website already has the 16 GB model on order, and it’s $200 with a two year contract. Expect to see similar prices from the other guys.
Which GS4 will Americans be getting? The one with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600, not the Exynos 5 Octa model, which as of right now looks like it’ll only hit a handful of Eastern European countries.
If you don’t live in America, you’ll have to wait for an announcement in your specific country. Folks in the UK can expect to see the GS4 on April 26th, at least from EE. And as for me in Finland, I wish I had an answer, but I don’t.
Update: There was an event in the UK last night where Samsung confirmed that the device will launch at 10 AM on the 27th, not the 26th as originally planned. Tip of the hat to @PDTalkinTech.
The Samsung #GalaxyS4 will be available to purchase at 10AM April 27.
