Back in August, when Motorola unveiled the Moto X – the world’s first customisable phone – it disappointed a lot by making the Moto Maker service exclusive to AT&T. Spokespersons from the company kept saying that the exclusivity is going to be only for a short while and that the Moto Maker will become available on all major U.S carriers.

More than two months later, Motorola has finally kept its word and has ended AT&T’s exclusivity on the Moto Maker. The service is now available across all the major U.S carriers including Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T.

Sadly, the wooden backing option, which Motorola teased at launch, is still not available in Moto Maker. The company, however, is making up for this by allowing users to add a custom phrase at the back of the Moto X using its fiber laser technology.

Motorola also announced that it will be temporarily dropping the price of the Moto X across all the major carriers to $99 on a two-year contract. The company also mentioned that it will be bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to the Moto X sometime soon.
