Right now in Brazil, Motorola is busy announcing a cheaper and smaller version of the Moto X -the Moto G. The company, however, did talk about the Moto X and provided an estimated timeframe for the KitKat update for the device.
The company announced at the event that Moto X owners should expect some KitKat goodness coming their way in “a matter of weeks.” An Android 4.4 KitKat firmware for the Moto X has already leaked, which is surprisingly pretty stable.
The Moto X runs on a near stock build of Android, which should theoretically help in improving the update times for the device. Motorola has been notoriously slow in updating its devices to the latest version of Android, so it will be interesting to see if it manages to keep its word with the KitKat update for the Moto X.
