LG has just uploaded the official teaser video for the LG G3 which breaks cover in exactly two weeks from now on May 27. The video doesn’t provide intricate details as to what to expect from the smartphone, but shows some key aspects of the handset that we’ve seen in leaks over the course of the previous weeks.
It stresses on the brushed metal finish of the G3 and gives us a glimpse of the rear keys and optical image stabilization of the camera as well. The video finally shows a few taps on the display of the smartphone, a clear hint at the company’s proprietary Knock Code unlock feature, and ends with the words “Simple is the New Smart”.
The LG G3 is expected to feature a monstrous 5.5 inch QHD display along with a Snapdragon 801 chipset and a 13-megapixel OIS+ camera with Android 4.4 KitKat. We’re yet to get clarification on other features of the flagship, but we expect the company to detail them during the launch event in two weeks from now.
Although rumors have indicated that the handset will only feature a brushed metal finish and not an actual metal back cover, the video suggests otherwise. Don’t be taken by surprise if the smartphone is revealed to be sporting a metal body as that’s what the video seems to be insinuating.
