Last year, Motorola filled out their Moto-branded lineup of devices with the Moto G, a device that was priced less than their hero device, the Moto X, but still managed to wrangle plenty of worthy specifications under the hood to make that $179 price tag more than worth it. Unfortunately, one of the features the original Moto G was missing was 4G LTE-connectivity, with Motorola advising those who want the faster speeds to wait just a bit longer.

The wait is finally over, as Motorola has finally made the 4G LTE-enabled Moto G officially available directly through their website. There is a slight price hike between the original Moto G and the Moto G 4G LTE, as the newer device comes priced at $219. However, the $40 increase doesn’t just include 4G LTE-connectivity, but also a microSD card slot — something the original was missing as well. Now if that 8GB of built-in storage isn’t enough (and let’s face it, it probably isn’t), you can expand the memory with a card.

As far as everything else goes, the Moto G 4G LTE is exactly the same device. You’re still getting a handset with a 720p 4.5-inch display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood, with a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3MP shooter on the front. It’s running Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, and the LTE-connectivity will get you hooked up to faster speeds on both AT&T and T-Mobile.
