Apparently last week, a lucky Galaxy Note 3 user received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on his handset. In all probability, there was some goof up on Samsung’s part that led to the user receiving the update on his phablet.

Whatever the case might be, the Note 3 user in Vietnam has uploaded the ROM so that other Note 3 users can also get a taste of Lollipop on their device. The ROM is only meant for the N900 variant of the Note 3 and requires users to be well versed with ODIN, if they are keen on installing it on their device.

This leaked Lollipop firmware for the Note 3 contains a number of new goodies including Material Design inspired system apps, an updated notification bar, a refreshed UI for the Recents App list, Smart Lock and more.

An early beta firmware of Lollipop on the Galaxy Note 3 was also previewed back in September, though the firmware was not made available for download.

Samsung has only started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 in Poland. The company is expected to start a wider roll out by the end of this year, with Lollipop expected to make its way to the Galaxy Note 4 in January next year.
