Android Device Manager hasn’t been updated since 2015, but that is finally changing today, and the changes are welcomed.

The first thing you’ll notice in version 2 of the app is the name has changed completely. “Android Device Manager” is now known as simply “Find My Device,” and the user interface has changed just a bit, too, to make it all a bit easier to navigate. The last vestiges of the Holo UI is gone, too, and all of your devices are more obvious in a pictured list at the top of the app.

All of the same options for finding your misplaced device are present, like sending a loud pinging sound from your device if you lost it in the couch cushions. You can lock it remotely, too, of course.
