Dutch Startup Visa
About the Dutch Startup Visa
Since January 1st, 2015, the Dutch government welcomes ambitious entrepreneurs outside of the EU to easily start a business in The Netherlands through a fast-track program: the Dutch Startup Visa. This visa grants entrepreneurs a one-year period to build or expand an innovative company in The Netherlands.
One of the requirements for this fast-track program is that the startup works with an approved startup visa facilitator. The role of the facilitator is to introduce the entrepreneur to the Dutch/European market and provide support and guidance throughout the duration of the startup visa.

The TNW Expansion Program provides founders of (tech) startups and scale-ups outside of the EU with a one-year visa and a dedicated soft-landing program. This includes, but is not limited to: access to our vibrant and curated TNW startup- and tech community, expertise, events, spaces and tools needed to successfully build or grow your company in the Netherlands, the European market and beyond.
TNW works with a network of trusted industry experts and soft-landing service providers who can help you with everything you need. Think of (one-on-one) mentoring, introductions to relevant local partners/industry experts and an opportunity to tap into the Dutch startup- and tech ecosystem.
Pricing
Unlike most other softlanding programs, facilitators, and VCs, we only charge a one-off price for our programs; thus, we don't take equity! That means you don't have to grant us any ownership or equity of your business when moving to Amsterdam, but instead, we ask for a straight fee.
With the expansion program, there are two different prices depending on whether you'll need a startup visa or not:
- The expansion program costs are €17.500 (exclusive of VAT) without a startup visa.
- The expansion program costs are €22.500 (exclusive of VAT) with a startup visa (This allows you to stay for one year).

Who are we looking for?
- You have an established tech company and you’re looking to scale your startup internationally.
- You’re a startup leader (Founder, CEO or key lead in the company).
- You have recently received Series A+ funding or can prove a financial run-rate to cover for at least 6 months.
- You’re showing significant traction and have a scalable business model.
- You’re available to be physically present in Amsterdam from 16th January 2023 onwards.
